Rest In Peace, Ted

On the morning of Friday, October 21, 2016, our chocolate lab, Ted, passed away. Ted had been battling lymphoma for almost two months before taking a serious downhill turn a few days before his passing.

Ted brought joy to everyone, especially his long-time owner, my wife. In order to cope, we have been trying to find some positives, like how he ended up taking his last breath outside on our balcony, at sunrise, while overlooking the water and boats at Pirate’s Cove Marina, and that his last breath must have included the faint smell of fish, which was his favorite marina scent. Ted used to drag us over to the fish cleaning areas and take in deep breaths of the air. He loved it!

  1. I am so sorry Mike. I cried like a baby when I read Erica’s post. I was positive he was going to beat it. I know how hard it is. I lost my Chocolate Lab almost 15 years ago and have a yellow Lab to replace Bosco. The hurt never goes away. I still cry over him. Ted was such a beautiful loving animal with such good parents. Most would have put him down and not even tried. You both are in my prayers, Love You Guys, Stel
